WORK IN NORWAY
|
The program description
- For
work in Norway there are necessary professionals in construction area:
carpenters, concreters, bricklayers, electricians, etc.; truck drivers,
mechanics, CNC-operators, etc.
- The
contract will be concluded between the Norwegian company-employer and
employee for a period of 6-12 months with prolongation possibility.
The period of probation is from 2 weeks till 6 months according to Norwegian
Labour Laws.
- The
Work Permit and registration in UDI will be realized with Norwegian
party assistance.
- The
employer gives to the employee working clothes and the electric tool.
Everyone should have a set of simple tools (see the list in the Appendix
1.)
- The
employer offers the accommodation. It can be standard 2nd
floor houses for 8-10 persons or hostels/barracks. In case if the accommodation
is paid by the employer, the wage for employee is lower than in case
if the employee pays for the accommodation himself.
- Food
is at employee’s expense - about 25-30NOK/day for the person (see
the information about prices for products in Norway in the Appendix
2.) The rate of exchange is approximately the following: 100 NOK (Norwegian
crone) = 12.735 EUR (according to Bank of Latvia information).
- Trip
from accommodation to a work place is at employee’s expense. The ticket
for return bus ticket costs to the 40NOK/person. A month ticket costs
580NOK. If there is a personal transport, the expense for oil is 60NOK,
so, 12NOK/person for oil + 8NOK/person for car amortization is payment
for driver from other employees, so, total sum 20NOK/person is better
price.
- Wage:
work for 37,5-40 hours per week + overtime. The Standard wage rate for
the professional is 125-150NOK/hour (before taxes). Taxes in Norway
are 26-36 %. Payment is made for each 2 weeks of work by transferring
to the employee’s bank account (Norwegian) in the middle of 3rd week
(therefore, after arrival the first wage will be transferred in the
end of the third week of work). Before opening of the bank account in
Norwegian bank money is paid by cash or as a bank check. The opening
of the bank account in Norway is free of charge if the employee has
a Contract and Work Permit. Taxes are paid according to the Skattekort
(a Tax Card). This document cannot be lost because in this case taxes
for all period of work will make 50 % from the wage. Sometimes payment
can be paid for a month. The wage of professional for month is minimum
20000,-NOK (before taxes).
Requirements to employees:
- Valid Passport.
- Professionalism, hard-working, absence of bad habits, communicative skills.
- English language knowledge (spoken and specialty minimum).
Expenses (employee’s expenses till the 1st payment):
- Plane ticket to Norway.
- Trip from the airport to a city where there is a workplace and residence place.
- Food expenses for 3 weeks.
- Trip from residence place till work place for 3 weeks.
The documents,
which are required for consideration a
candidate:
- Registration Form (the established
sample).
- Passport copy.
- Photo (passport size).
- Copies of diplomas, the certificates confirming qualification (in English).
- Photos from work places (if are available).
